Hustle 2.0

// August 25th, 2008 // Brad's Life

Having a hard time lately balancing personal and professional life (see last post). I’m not doing bad, I just don’t want to do worse. Trying to see that fine line between enjoying life and reaching my goals and aspirations. Too many ideas and plans bottled in my mind. Distinguishing between ‘my plans’ and His.

I’ve probably watched this video 20 times in the past week. Hustle 2.0. You CAN do both, you just have to want it. No more Wii, no Madden or Halo, not a minute wasted. To the grindstone every spare minute.

New gameplan: kick it up a notch and make things happen. Might have to wake up early or stay up later to fit it all in, but it’s going to work. And it’s going to be worth it.

Jen and I have been talking about setting a lofty goal and busting our butts to try to accomplish it together. Tentatively, it’s to build an orphanage in Manila, Philippines by 2015. Right next to the clinic that Jen always went to with her family for missionary work. Cut some things out of our budget here and there, save a little extra, do some work on the side. We’re trying to get better at helping others and not being so self-centered. Put our talents and hard work to good use. I’m excited to see what we decide on and get started.

    It’s called the Kyle James .eduGuru plan… trust me it’s a lot of work… but it’s pretty amazing what you can do.

    Sold my old school NES and Xbox… you want to talk about commitment from a former gamer!

    Brad, that is awesome bud. Let’s talk, I may have some ideas that are right up the same alley. If nothing else bounce some ideas off of one another!

    I’m glad to see someone was inspired by this vid as I was and I’m floored by how awesome your idea (the orphanage) is. Good luck with it!
