Dear Sister, Revisited.

// January 17th, 2008 // Brad's Life, YouTube

So a while back I put together this post of various ‘Dear Sister’ spoofs, and casually mentioned I wanted to make one out of my favorite YouTube video of all time.

Then I got busy and forgot.

Brian hopped on the SNL Digital Short Love Train today, bringing me back to my old post and my unfilled void. So over lunch I whipped it together, and I now present you Dear Sister + Slamball. Enjoy.

    The music needs to start right when his foot goes through the hoop. Otherwise, brilliant.

    You think? I think the action starts on the bounce. It obviously went horribly wrong. When we were little we called it the “perfect bounce”. I mean, they were so on target with each other that the other little white boy got planted on his butt. It’s almost as if a bomb went off. If you watch the original video, the kid who gets mangled is about 2 inches from touching the ground before he takes off. Have you ever seen someone make a trampoline touch the ground and have it turn out well? Haha, that’s where the stunt went wrong. He had troubles before getting the foot in the hoop. The trampoline is all about the bounce, man.

    whatever happened to that kid in the end? Did his leg break? was he ok? I kind of agree that it would have been better if the music had started as soon as his leg went through. It also should have not slowed down until that point. I do think it’s great that the people in the music are saying “you don’t care a bit” while the other two are walking around laughing at the kid…

    I have no clue how it ended. That’s about all there is to the video, which has over 5,000,000 views. No one knows. For other comment, I stand by my previous reflections. :) That, and I made it in about 3 minutes.

    Yeah I wasn’t trying to rip on the vid – you made it at lunch at your desk for heaven’s sake.

    That being said, I showed it to a few people and they both agreed with me that it needs to start when his leg goes through the hoop because the whole MMM watcha say… thing is all about the moment of impact (usually a gun discharging), in this case his foot becoming entangled in the hoop.

    My opinion is better.

  6. Bradjward says:

    I still gotta stick by my opinion. You wanna talk about impact, again I refer to the ‘impact’ of the trampoline bounce. That’s impactful. Impactalicious. Impractically Impactfulescent. Full Impact. And not in a Gary Daniels kind of way.

    Hope you’re happy kthanxbai
