Live from the magnificent Riverview Hospital!

// September 2nd, 2007 // Brad's Life, Indianapolis

Ok kids, we gotta special edition post coming to you for Labor Day, straight from room 3311 (send balloons. lots of them) at the magnificent Riverview Hospital in Noblesville.

First, I gotta give a shout out to the Kolon Killaz, if it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. They’ve made Labor Day 2007 an ‘explosive’ weekend to remember.

It’s a party in my colon, and you’re invited!

Since my last post, my fever shot up to 103.9, I went to prompt care, got some medicine which in turn did everything the warnings said I should seek immediate care if they happened. So at 7:00am yesterday we came to the ER, then I was checked in to the hospital

I’ve been temporarily diagnosed with colitis, an inflammation of the lining of the colon. I would think that after 26 hours in the hospital, a cat scan, 6 IV’s, 5 blood tests totalling 20 samples, and neverending bodily fluid tests (no seriously, every time) they’d know more than a “temporary” diagnosis. Oh well.

Positives: all-I-can-eat-Jell-O (which turns into all-I-can-puke-Jell-O, as Jen found out yesterday), morphine upon request, a private room, the beginning of a super manly, although splotchy, facial hair extravaganza, my parents and in-laws driving up to see me, Bethany and Jake taking care of Bella, and Kyle giving me a call (I’ll call you back today, I was getting poked in the vein again when you called).

Excuse me now, I have Jell-O to eat and bowel movements to be checked. As always, stay tuned right here for the latest updates. Stay classy.

    Dude, hope they get you fixed up pretty quick. If you can, sneak me a pudding cup. That’d be sweet.
