The UIS logo has African roots?

// July 18th, 2007 // Springfield, UIS

I was reading a story on Digg about the world’s 10 worst flags, and this one instantly caught my eye.

Durban Flag

It’s the flag of Durban, the 2nd most populous city in South Africa. It has nearly 3.3 million people. And interestingly enough, it just so happens to be a sister city with Chicago, IL.

Change the blue a little, add some letters and a bar, and voila, there it is.

UIS 'Flag'

You tell me.

    Copyright infringement, wooohooo! Now we could go back to the old SSU logo! Old School!

    That brings up an interesting point… what IS the legal status of a foreign flag under U.S. law? Hmmm.
