Cool!  I read through your Blogs.  Now I can keep track of you!  LOL

Do you have a motorola phone?  I bought the “Motorola Tools” software this week and loaded it then downloaded Limewire.  Now my ringtone is “Theme from the Office”  :)   You can upload pics and songs and you can edit the songs to what length you want and add reggae or reverb or even put two songs together.  Pretty cool.  I haven’t played with it a lot yet but I did get a few things uploaded to my phone.

You can copy the disc if you can use it.

TTYL!  Love, MOM :)

Talking to Justin.tv

// June 18th, 2007 // No Comments » // Brad's Life, Indianapolis, Technology

If you all haven’t checked out Justin.tv by now, I highly recommend you do. He’s a ‘lifecaster’, and basically he wears a camera on his head for a large part of the day, and it’s a 24/7 live feed.

And if you didn’t catch it, I just talked to him. (Go to 2:47:55pm to listen in.)

I am working on some things with him, but I don’t really want to reveal a lot yet. It’s going to be sweet though.

Weekend in Review

// June 18th, 2007 // No Comments » // Uncategorized

This weekend was pretty low key, but still great.  It was our last weekend in Indy until July due to weddings back in the Land of Lincoln.   Friday night after supper we drove through Broad Ripple to check out the area, and it looks like it will be a great place to go on a weekend.  After that we played with Bella and worked on some new tricks.  We walked to the grocery store that night to get some carpet cleaner since we ran out and Bella hasn’t totally perfected the bladder control yet. On our way back Bella was pulling on the leash so hard and trying to run ahead, but since we have been working on leash walking we wouldn’t let her go.  Then she stops and looks at us, and takes a dump in the Marsh parking lot.  Now I know why she wanted to get to the grass so bad. :)   It was pretty funny.

Saturday morning was free breakfast day at our apartments, and then after that we went to the Farmer’s Market in Fishers.   It was a good time, and I got some delicious radishes. Bella was pretty good too!  Then we went downtown and walked the canal and downtown area for about an hour or so.  Came home and swam, then I ran to the Redbox at Marsh and picked out a movie, Apocalypto.  It was pretty intense.  There was a scene that had a dog/wolf in it that was barking right at us.  Bella got really into it and started growling at the screen and then she sat there and watched the next 5-10 minutes of the movie.  When something scary would come up she would run behind Jen and poke her head out to watch.  It was hilarious.

Sunday we went back to E91 to try the traditional service, then went to a sunday school class called Crossroads that was talking about global views, etc.  It was pretty good.  Sunday afternoon was pretty laid back also, I took a 3 hour nap then went back to the church for open gym and played some 5-on-5 for 2 hrs.  It was really nice to get back on the court and play a little!  I surprisingly shot well for not playing in a very long time.

Now it’s off to work, I’m going to try and take frontage roads instead of I-69 today.

Brad

*update*  21 minute commute today!  I-69 was totally clogged for 3+ miles so I set my GPS to no highways, and it worked well!

More random updates and pics

// June 15th, 2007 // No Comments » // Brad's Life, Indianapolis

Here are a few other updates and pics that I have been meaning to post, but haven’t had the chance to do so. Our last night in Springfield, after packing the moving truck, all my packing helpers + Jen and Shelly went to Cozy Dog, home of the corn dog (but don’t call it that). I had a cozy dog and a huge tenderloin and they were delicious! After that we said our goodbyes to our friends, and went home to sleep and get ready for the big moving day.

Cozy Dog! That's a big tenderloin.

The move day went great. We had 6 vehicles full, and 9 people total. Chaos could have ensued, but it luckily did not. We painted the den, the dining room, and an accent wall in our bedroom.

Then the next day we all went to Butler so my family could see the campus.

All in all, a great move! Now that we’re almost settled, people need to start making plans to come see Indy! :)

Still not a Hoosier,
Brad

Twosouth Thursday: Sledding at Centennial

// June 14th, 2007 // No Comments » // Springfield, Twosouth Thursday

Twosouth Thursday Episode #3: Sledding at Centennial Park
Description: Just another midnight sledding adventure at Centennial Park, thus the realllllly dark video. This was back in 2003 I believe. I borrowed a bunch of UIS lunchtrays and we used them as sleds. Genius.

The audio is the best though, especially Kyle going down the hill. Chad and I definitely took out the snow fence on the west side of the hill.

It’s a girl!!! Introducing Bella

// June 13th, 2007 // 1 Comment » // Bella, Brad's Life, Indianapolis

I would like to officially announce the latest edition to the Ward family: Bella the Beagle.

We bought Bella from a breeder in Martinsville, IN a week ago today, so she is now 9 weeks old and she currently weighs 6 lbs. She’s adorable, and she’s smart too. She already knows her name, and the commands ‘come’, ’sit’, ‘down’, ‘let’s go’, and ‘get it’. She’s working on ‘crawl’ as you can see in the video, and ’shake’ will come soon. Then we’ll get to the basic stuff like ‘ATTACK’ and ‘KILL’. Ok, not really. We are actually currently training her to hit a bell with her nose when she needs to go to the bathroom.

Bella the Beagle Bella can fly!

And of course, a video of Bella.

Woof Woof!

The Commute.

Check out this Google Map I just mashed with my commute.

If it weren’t for my GPS and my iPod to play with, I don’t know how I’d do it.

Why does all the cool stuff happen to other people? If I were guaranteed safety , I would totally hook a wheelchair into a semi grill and get pushed at speeds of up to 50 mph.

That guy definitely crapped his pants.

The Diagnosis is In!

// June 7th, 2007 // 1 Comment » // Brad's Life, Wii

It’s official. I have finally been diagnosed. It’s benign, and my life should not be at risk.

I have been a victim of Wiiitis. And I didn’t need a 29 year old Dr. to tell me that I needed ibuprofen and rest to get rid of it.

Life in Indy

// June 4th, 2007 // 2 Comments » // Uncategorized

I really wish I had more time to blog about the move to Indy, but I can sum it up in 1 word: freekinamazinglyawesome.

I love this place.  I just wish Jen were here too. 1 more day.

This is definitely the best choice I could have made.  Butler has impressed me 1000 times over, and I’ve only been on the job one day.  They really know how to treat an employee.   Breakfast and lunch provided on the first day.  Free Butler polo and fleece.  Free Butler pennant and sticker.  My name on the door.  Keys ready.  Email and all access set up.  My choice of chair for best ergonomics.  Respect. Appreciation. I’m going to love this job, it even makes the 30 minute commute seem fun.

Livin’ in the Burbs,
Brad
