3G iPhone = Finally.

// July 12th, 2008 // No Comments » // Apple, Brad's Life, iPhone

After nearly 48 hours from start to finish, I am in the clear and have my new iPhone.

I highly suggest you check out the http://26dayswithoutaniphone.com if you haven’t, it details the entire thing. You can watch 40 videos from the night on YouTube at http://youtube.com/26daysnoiphone as well.

Joe flew in from Connecticut for the whole thing, and we had an absolute blast. Here are some of his pictures from the day. Good times for sure.

3G iPhone < 24 Hours.

// July 10th, 2008 // No Comments » // Brad's Life, Travel, iPhone

Yep, we’re less than 24 hours from the 3G iPhone launch.   Keep up with the next 24 hours of my life over at http://www.26dayswithoutaniphone.com.

Joe flies in late afternoon, and the adventure begins.  We were featured on BrandFlakesForBreakfast.com today:
http://www.brandflakesforbreakfast.com/2008/07/where-will-you-be-tomorrow-morning.html

Good times.  Looking forward to the adventure.  It won’t be as lucrative or profitable as the past PS3/Wii/etc. campouts, but it’ll be a heckuva good time.

Keep an eye on 26dayswithoutaniphone.com for updates.

BOOM!!!!!!!! SDK for iPhone in February.

// October 17th, 2007 // 1 Comment » // Mac, Technology, iPhone

The iPhone just got 2000000202302059029% more awesome. 3rd party apps starting in February. Thanks for listening to us, Steve.

Sobering fact of the day: If you would have purchased $50,000 of Apple stock 4 years ago today, you would have $1.2 million. If you would have purchased $399 of Apple stock instead of a 3rd Gen 40GB iPod, you’d have $11,000 today.

Wonder what the “if you would have bought (x) stock instead of an iPhone 5 years ago, you would have $xxx) will be. :)

Fotos have been iPhoneized.

Free Music on iTunes

// October 8th, 2007 // 1 Comment » // Brad's Life, Great Deals, Mac, iPhone

I’m a big fan of iTunes and the integration with our nanos and iPhone, but not a big fan of prices.  Here are 2 options to get some free music:

1: Go to a Starbucks between now and November 7th and ask for the Song of the Day.  Since we have a Starbucks on campus, I just walk over there each day (since we usually go anyways) and then I pick the song up.

2: Join this group on Facebook and you will get an instant code for 5 free downloads (you can choose the $1.29 DRM songs as well, not just the $.99 songs).  I’ve already joined/un-joined in my account and Jen’s account for 10 free songs.  Probably going to make some more Facebook accounts tonight. :)

Happy 9th Birthday, Google!

You’re 9 years old already? I remember when you were just a little thing.   About this tall *holds hand near knees*.   We met when you were about 2, and you had grown up so much since then.  You started out about like one of my ‘HTML 4.0 for Dummies’ websites. Basic.  You let the world know straight from birth that you had one goal: search.  The week you were born you boldly stated: “Index contains ~25 million pages (soon to be much bigger) “.  Yes, MUCH bigger.

Obligatory iPhone from airport post

// September 24th, 2007 // No Comments » // iPhone

You thought I’d sit in an airport for 2 hours and not wander over here? Flight got delayed 20 minutes, but training doesn’t start until 9 am tomorrow. I’m flying in to Dulles so hopefully its not as bad as JFK. Jen flies out Fri. Night and then we’ll see all the sights with Kyle. Its gonna be a great week out of the office for sure.

It was funny that Joe at FJ Gaylor called me out the same day I got mine. Like I told him, great minds think alike. :) Check them out here.
