March Madness

// March 26th, 2008 // No Comments » // Bella, Brad's Life, Small Group, Travel, YouTube

Wait, March is almost over? Time sure is flying. I knew this weekend would be extra busy, thus the precap in my last post. Looking back, it was an awesome weekend full of basketball, friends, and buzzer beaters.

Here are the 7 great buzzer beaters I witnessed over the weekend. The first one we saw in person, as Gordon Hayward (a Butler recruit) made the shot to take Brownsburg over Marion in the 4A State Finals. The game before that was all Tyler Zellers (a North Carolina recruit), who dropped 43 points in his final high school game. The other 6 videos are from the NCAA tournament.

The IHSAA games were even better because there was a TV in our suite(image and image), so we could watch all of the NCAA games at the same time.

After a great Easter Sunday (very relaxing too, which was needed after the previous 2 days), we hosted a 80’s Murder Mystery with our Small Group on Monday night and it was a blast. There are some pictures below, or check them all out on Flickr.

Well that’s about it for now. My next post will come from somewhere much sunnier and warmer.

And if you didn’t hear, Matt and Heather got their Visa and will be flying to Myanmar on Saturday. Pretty bittersweet. Glad the paperwork has gotten through for them!

We are coming up on the 1 Year Anniversary of blog.bradjward.com, and it’s been pretty fun so far. Let’s reminisce.

Dear Sister, Revisited.

// January 17th, 2008 // 7 Comments » // Brad's Life, YouTube

So a while back I put together this post of various ‘Dear Sister’ spoofs, and casually mentioned I wanted to make one out of my favorite YouTube video of all time.

Then I got busy and forgot.

Brian hopped on the SNL Digital Short Love Train today, bringing me back to my old post and my unfilled void. So over lunch I whipped it together, and I now present you Dear Sister + Slamball. Enjoy.

Weekend in Review

// December 3rd, 2007 // No Comments » // Brad's Life, Butler, Indianapolis, Sports, YouTube

I’d give you the low-down on my weekend, but I don’t want to stun the entire blogosphere. Haha, classic. But seriously, it was a good weekend. Glad my parents could make it to the Butler/OSU game (and see us win! Was looking iffy in the 1st half). Got a lot done on Sunday and wanted to sleep in until noon today. I wish we worked 4/were off 3. That would be nice.

I’ll leave you with a random video today: What happens when you put a cat in zero gravity. Horrible music selection, but funny video.

Video clips from Butler/OSU

// December 2nd, 2007 // 5 Comments » // Brad's Life, Butler, Sports, YouTube

Here’s some video from last night’s game, where Butler stomped ‘The’ OSU 65-49. After an absolutely horrible first half (1-15 on 3’s), they found themselves only down 30-20 at half, and went on a 35-19 run from there to blow out the Big 10 team.

What an amazing atmosphere. I knew Hinkle would be great, but I didn’t know it would be that great. Sellout crowd of 10,000. As my dad says near the end of the video, maybe Butler should be in the Big 10. :) They’ve wo

Here’s a quote I saw online from another BU Fan:

The game with Ohio State was one of the most exciting I have ever seen (and I witnessed my first game in 1946). The atmosphere at Hinkle was electric! If BU could up its average attendance by several thousand over a full season, another more prestigious conference will elevate their stature with or without football.

Word.

Anyways, here’s the video. Buying tix tomorrow for Butler vs. UIC (who beat UIS 81-55) and Butler vs. Detroit, which will be a great farewell to the 5 seniors, who will undoubtedly go down in Butler history.

Best. Presidential Ad. Ever.

I don’t even have words for this. This makes me want to like politics again.

Videographer Dad of the Year

// November 16th, 2007 // 2 Comments » // Brad's Life, YouTube

I watch something like this and wonder if I’m going to be as awesome as this dad? He takes all the video clips from the year and puts them into a video. What a great way to archive. Just sit back and enjoy.

I am 24 years old today.

So, today is my birthday. 24 years old. I’m feeling old too. My knees have been killing me all week. :)

Matt posted a comment on this YouTube video today, which brought the hilarity of this past incident to my mind… and made me smile. :)

For a little background, I was turning 21 and Kyle was planning a surprise B-Day party at Chuck E. Cheese’s. The problem was… I knew, and everyone knew I knew except for Kyle. So we go through with the party, have a great time, and everything is grand…………….then about 4 weeks later I edit this video and casually post it on Twosouth. Kyle is sitting a work and sees there is a new video, so he checks it out. About 10 minutes later, I get a call from Kyle, where he proceeds to call me many names I won’t list here. Enjoy! :)
